For this deliverable our team was responsible for finalizing a selection on our chosen innovator and creating a plan for completing assignments throughout the semester. We compared all of our research papers and decided that Dr. Fei-Fei Li was perhaps the biggest contributor to the state that artificial intelligence has reached today. With how prevalent AI has become in all of our daily lives, she seemed like a great choice.
On October 3rd at 1p.m. we met at the Well's library to begin work on the document. We began by selecting roles for every group member and deciding on a regular occurring meeting time which ended up being 1 p.m. every Thursday at Well's Library.
We also decided on a communication plan and where we would be storing all of the groups work. We all decided that using text messages and storing the group work on a Google Drive. On October 5th we had a follow up Zoom meeting to add finishing touches to the document. Ethan turned in the assignment following the meeting.
Together as a team we were responsible for conducting additional research about our chosen innovator. We decided to begin our research independently and shared our initial progress on October 9th before our lab. We found a lot of additional information of Dr. Li, including some of her work outside ImageNet, such as her co founding of World Labs.
On October 10, at 1 p.m. we had our weekly team meeting at the Well's Library to compile all of our research into a collaborative document. We also had a followup Zoom meeting on October 11th to make final changes and suggestions to the document. After the Zoom meeting Ethan submitted the document.
For this deliverable our team began planning on how our website will look by designing a wireframe using Figma. Ethan began by creating a basic wireframe layout for the website on October 14. on October 16th our group met before lab to look at what we had so far and planned for what to add next. Everyone in the group drew up some mock plans of what each web page should look like. We divided up the work by giving each group member a different frame to design. Carter designed the Home frame, Lijah made the Team frame, Isaac made the innovator frame, and Ethan make the process frame.
The following day on October 17 at 1 p.m. we held our weekly meeting and made sure all of our frames worked well with each other. During this meeting we all added profile pictures to the website to be put on the team page. On October 18th we held a small Zoom meeting one more time to make sure everything looked good before Ethan submitted following the meeting.
For this deliverable our team had the task of taking our wireframe we designed the previous week using Figma, and turning it into an actual website using HTML based off of the wireframe. We met on October 23rd before our weekly lab to discuss our plan for the assignment. We decided that we would split up the work based on how we split up the wireframe assignment. Carter created the index.html page, Lijah created the team.html page, Isaac created the innovator.html page, and Ethan made the process.html page.
We all met for our weekly meeting the following day on October 24th at Well's Library. During our meeting we all began creating our webpages, and compiled them all into a github repository. We focused on getting a consistent navigation and look and feel for the website during this meeting, then decided to complete the rest of the pages on our own time. On October 25th at 1 p.m. we held a Zoom meeting to discuss some issues we were having with styling of our pages. We ended up canceling the saturday meeting because we got all of the work done during our Zoom session.
